Why Titanium: There is a myth in our industry that Chromoly is the best material to make fasteners from.  It is just that – a myth. Both Chromoly and Titanium are excellent materials for fasteners.  But isn’t Titanium more brittle than Chromoly?  Yes, but that doesn’t mean Titanium is “brittle”.  It is just more so than Chromoly, but not by much (10% elongation at break compared to 16%).  Strength wise, our Ti has an ultimate tensile strength of 170,000 psi (8740 Chromoly is 167,000). Titanium is also more resistant to heat and corrosion than Chromoly, it is HALF THE WEIGHT of Chromoly.  Even better, our Titanium fasteners COST THE SAME OR LESS THAN CHROMOLY.  The simple truth is that both materials are more than strong enough to withstand the heat and tension any powersports vehicle generates.  In one area Chromoly is stronger than Ti, but overall the Ti fastener is a better-quality product.  So much so we offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY (see warranty info above) on all of our Titanium fasteners.
